DJ Foster is originally from Florida, where his extensive music career originated. He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, and from Florida State College at Jacksonville, where he received a Associate’s degree and studied percussion performance under Jacksonville Symphony percussionists, Kenneth Every and Kevin Garry, as well as performed in the FSCJ Jazz Ensemble.

DJ’s performance career includes: BCS All-Star Invitational Marching Band (Center Snare, 2013), Racine Scouts (Snare, 2013), Pioneer (Vibraphone, 2014), Sun Devils (Aux. Percussion, 2014), US Army All-American Marching Band (Snare, 2015), Madison Scouts (Snare, 2015 & Center Snare/Section Leader, 2016), and Boston Crusaders (Snare, 2017). In 2017, he was also selected to march snare in the Kidsgrove Scouts and traveled to Europe for the DCE and DCUK championships. His WGI experience includes Conflux Percussion (Snare, 2012-2013), Infinity 2 (Snare, 2015), Infinity (Rack, 2014, Snare, 2016-2017).

DJ was on percussion staff with the Allen D. Nease High School marching band, Nease Indoor Percussion ensemble, Providence School Band, was on staff and arranged for the Duncan U. Fletcher High School marching band percussion section, taught numerous private lessons, and most recently on staff with Cap City in 2022.
