JJ is an active educator and arranger from Cleveland, Ohio. As a performer he has spent time in marching arts, chamber music, and orchestral ensembles around Ohio. He received his Bachelors of Music Education and Percussion Performance from Wright State University.

JJ is currently on staff with the Madison Scouts and is the Percussion Director at Bellbrook High School. He has also worked with groups such as Matrix Performing Arts, Avon Lake High School, Brunswick High School, Kettering Fairmont High School, Miamisburg High School, and many more. This will be JJ's ninth season involved with Cap City, where he has served as a marching member on the snare line, visual technician, and battery coordinator.

He lives in Dayton, Ohio with his wife Kristen, two dogs Eli and Zaya, and cat Booker.  JJ is a proud endorser of Vic Firth and Zildjian products. JJ is thrilled to return for another great season with Cap City!
